Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Dorothy was an amazing woman. That's why all these years later I still think of her and so does my daughter :) She was my mentor as a young mom in the child care centre at MRU in Calgary. The love, and wisdom she showered us with lives on as we pass these wonderful insights onto our children and grandchildren. Dorothy's comment to my daughter who was a very upset 2 year old.. "Come sit here and let's look at the stars on the ceiling. This is all that matters now little one. Take a slow deep breathe, calm yourself down and imagine..." Butterfly kisses from me and my girls Xoxoxoxo - Posted by: Tracey Warren (Grasshopper) on: Jan 06, 2017

  • Dorothy was a true blessing to our family - she ran the MRU Early Childcare Centre when my two oldest were little...she took time to know them and to know us...even though she was vey busy with many children...allowing both my kids to stay with her during nap time since neither of them napped LOL!!! ;-) Thinking of Dorothy today as we are having one of her recipes from the 1989-1990 "Family Favourites" MRU daycare fundraiser cookbook: Five-Hour Stew from Neva. Yum! - Posted by: Cindy Wolfe (Thankful parent) on: Jun 09, 2013

  • Remembering her as my instructor at Mount Royal Collage. Looking at Graduation Pictures tonight and Googled her name. - Posted by: Heather Haughian (Student) on: Nov 24, 2012
