HAROLD CECIL WOOLLEY Peacefully, on the morning of March 17, 2008 Harold Woolley passed away surrounded by family. Left to cherish Harold's memory are his wife of 57 years, Audrey; his sons, David (Wendy), and Robert; brother Dave, sister Laura (Connie); grandchildren, Christine Dutto (Alex) and Jonathan (Linda); great-grandchildren, Jacob and Bradley Dutto; and many nieces and nephews. Harold was predeceased by his father David and mother Margaret as well as his brothers, Leonard, Jim, sister Margaret and brothers-in-law, George and Bob Bramley. Harold was born and raised in the West End of Winnipeg. In his younger years Harold befriended George Bramley who became a life-long friend, and also introduced Harold to his younger sister Audrey, who became the love of Harold's life. Harold served with Lake Superior Armoured Regiment in the Second World War. During the war he served in France, Holland and Germany. Harold returned from the war to begin a 45 year career with Molson Breweries in Winnipeg. Harold was integral in the establishment of the Union at the Brewery and served as its Treasurer for many years. During a well-deserved retirement, Harold and Audrey traveled often with his in-laws, George and Margaret and Bob and Carol to hotspots including Hawaii, Tahiti, Texas and Mexico. In his spare time, Harold enjoyed playing cribbage at the Fort Rouge Legion and watching football and baseball. More than anything Harold enjoyed a good meal with family. He loved to create a discussion and sit back and smile while others sorted it out. Although a man of few words, Harold's actions always let friends and family know they were loved. Harold lived a long and rich life and left with no regrets. A Service of Remembrance will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, Reverend Marc Whitehead will be officiating We wish to extend our deepest thanks to the staff at the Deer Lodge Centre and the Grace Hospital for the superb care they provided to Harold. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. THOMSON FUNERAL HOME 669 Broadway 783-7211
