Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRUNO (JOE) LAJEUNESSE Bruno Lajeunesse, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully, on March 20, 2008 at Victoria Hospital, surrounded by loving family. He leaves his wife of 58 years, Angèle; daughters, Carmen Joyal (Guy), Célèste Lajeunesse, Rachèle Yerex (Cliff), his son Robert (Michelle), his grandchildren, Michèle, Lisa, Aiyana, Joel, Nathan, Rob, Danica, Bréanne, and Nicolas, his great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Bianca, Mason, Devin, Owen, and Madeline. Bruno was born in Rosetown, Saskatchewan, on April 2, 1913. He grew up in Lebret, SK and got his education at Collège Mathieu in Gravelbourg, SK. In 1932, he began his career as a schoolteacher in a one-room school. When Second World War broke out, he joined the army, and served as a Captain in England and Europe until March 1946. He came back to Redvers, SK where he owned and operated a general store. He married Angèle and their three daughters were born. After 22 years in the Joe's Store, he sold his business and moved his family to Winnipeg where his son was born. He had taken a course in TV repair and he started his new career of repairing TV's. He then worked for the University of Manitoba, and finally Collège St. Boniface where he eventually retired. Bruno loved to have his family around him. He enjoyed making wine and sharing it with family and friends. He loved to travel and they went to many places but his favourite was Las Vegas where they spent many winters. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge with reception to follow. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
