DIANNA HUGGINS (BESYK) December 8, 1944 - March 24, 2008 Peacefully, after a short battle with cancer, Dianna Huggins, aged 63, passed away, with her family at her side, at Seven Oaks Hospital on March 24, 2008. Dianna leaves to mourn her three children, Lee Huggins, Corinne Tymchyshyn and Rhonda (Todd) Kachurowski; her special grandchildren, Amanda and Kurt Tymchyshyn, and very special friends, Michael Tymchyshyn and Karen Caines. Also left to mourn are her brothers and sisters, Joan Zaluski, Judy and John Stanko, Barry and Diane Besyk, Gerry and Judy Besyk, and Kenny and Mercy Besyk, as well as her mother-in-law Mary Huggins, sisters-in-law Joan (Glen) Donald, Linda Schweitz (Grant), brother-in-law Jim (Diane) Huggins and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her lifelong husband of 40 years, Norman, on October 29, 2005; her father John Besyk, mother Olga Besyk and father-in-law Arthur Huggins. Dianna loved spending time at the casino with friends. Being a typical Ukrainian Baba, she enjoyed cooking for her children and grandchildren, even when she was undergoing treatment and not feeling well. She was a kindhearted and loving person who touched everyone she knew. She enjoyed going to work with the ladies at Mom's Perogy's. Dianna's family would like to thank Dr. David Crawford, her physician of many years, and the wonderful nursing staff on the 5th floor (Unit 1) at Seven Oaks General Hospital for all their kindness in caring for Dianna over the past two weeks. Pallbearers will be Gerry Besyk, John Stanko, Barry Besyk, Kenny Besyk, Todd Kachurowski and Kurt Tymchyshyn. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Interment at Brookside Cemetery. Dianna will be missed immensely by her children and grandchildren but will finally be joining Norm after numerous months of suffering and treatments.
