ABRAM JANZEN 1918 2008 It is with sadness we announce the passing of Abram Janzen at his home in Winnipeg on Friday, March 21, 2008 at the age of 89 years. Abram was predeceased by his wife Helena in 2001. He is survived by eldest daughter Janice Janzen and her husband Robert Stevens, daughter Judi Janzen and fiancé Dan Olver, son Kurt Janzen and his wife Marjorie, son Dan Janzen, Son Lionel Janzen and his wife Monica Morberg, son Kenton Janzen and his wife Pat, daughter Ginnie Coulter and husband Deen. Also brothers Jake, Isaac and Pete Janzen and sister Annie Regalsky. Abram was born in the Ukraine and immigrated with his family to Grunthal at the age of six. He moved to McCreary with his family as a teen. He met and married Helena and farmed together for nine years and had three children. They then moved to Winnipegosis for 22 years and had four more children. After moving to The Pas for six years Abram retired and they returned to McCreary. In 2001, after Helena's passing, Abram moved to Winnipeg to live with his daughter, Judy until his passing. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at McCreary Gospel Church in McCreary, Manitoba. Interment to follow at McCreary Municipal Cemetery with Pastor Roger Woywoda and Roy Fordyce officiating.
