Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERTINE NANOSKY Peacefully, with family by her side, Marie Louise Albertine (Bertie) Nanosky (nee Barron) passed away on Good Friday, March 21, 2008 at the Grace Hospital, at the age of 95. Albertine was born February 5, 1913 in St. Francis Xavier, Manitoba. In 1953 she married her dearly beloved Frank Gilbert Nanosky. Albertine has said that her Wedding day was the happiest day of her life. She and Frank farmed together for 20 years in Brunkild, Manitoba until they retired to Winnipeg in 1973. Unfortunately, Frank passed away in 1981 after 27 years of happily being married. She will sadly be missed and never forgotten by her one surviving brother Ademar (Ed) Barron and his wife Anne who lovingly cared for her over the past several years and were her best friends; sharing many a joke, much laughter and many happy times together. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families who also have memories and many stories. Albertine was predeceased by her mother Beatrice Carolyn (nee Lafreniere), her father Louis Charles Barron, husband Frank, brothers Oliver, Gilbert, Elie, Tony and sister Josephine Desjarlais. Prayers will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008 at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel 669 Broadway Avenue at Furby Street, Winnipeg. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 at the St. Vital Catholic Church 1629 Pembina Highway at Manahan, Winnipeg. Father Patrick Morand will be the Principal Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Vital Parish Cemetery, Crescent Drive. Flowers are graciously declined, if friends desire, donations may be made to charities close to Albertine's heart, being the Winnipeg Humane Society, The Cancer Society Manitoba Division, The Alzheimer Society of Canada or another charity of your choice. The family would like to acknowledge Albertine's many special and close friends and thank all of those who have cared for her over the years.
