KATHLEEN HELEN (DALE) WILSON Peacefully, on Friday March 21, 2008 after a short illness, Dale passed away at the age of 71. Dale was predeceased by her parents Raymond and Kathleen Wilson, her brother Lee, and her special friend Clare Cameron. Survived by sister-in-law Faye Wilson, nephews, Garth and Kevin Wilson, niece Lee Anne Ragan and their families in British Columbia, plus many caring friends who will miss her. After receiving her teaching certificate in 1956 at the Provincial Normal School, Dale taught elementary school at Lord Wolseley, Kent Road, and Strathcona for 39 years. After retirement, she volunteered at Principal Sparling, River Elm, and Strathcona Schools. Dale was honoured by having the library at Strathcona School re-named the Dale Wilson Learning Centre in 1997. Dale enjoyed travelling with her longtime friend Ethel Miller, reading and doing embroidery at her cottage, attending travelogues, the Ballet, Theatre and Symphony, and researching her family tree. In accordance with Dale's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with reception to follow. Thanks to the staff at Grace Hospital (4S), especially Sharon and Gwen, who helped make her final days peaceful.
