AIME LEBLEU Aime LeBleu, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years, on March 22, 2008, at St. Boniface Hospital after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his dearest wife Cecile in 1993. He leaves his son Richard (Elaine) and Gerry (Diana), his grandchildren, Karen, Laura, Craig, Patti, and Ken; his great-grandchildren, Amber, Danielle, Austin, Braeden, Spencer, Jade, and Reece. Aime was born in Kenora, Ontario, on February 20, 1918, and within a few months moved to St. Boniface. He began his career as a mechanic and later joined Acklands Limited. He entered Sales and retired from Acklands in 1982, as manager of the Winnipeg Branch. He married Cecile Doutre in 1939, and made a home for his family in St. Boniface. Aime and Cecile loved to make road trips, and after retirement, took the opportunity to travel around the world. On many occasions, Mom and Dad invited their children to travel with them, which included many memorable trips to the Hawaiian Islands. Dad loved to cook, specializing in creating gourmet soups. He also loved to make wine, and had a wine cellar that supplied many family events and dinners. Special thanks to the staff of St. Boniface Hospital Ward 5B, who worked so hard to make Dad comfortable during the last few weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dad's memory to Cancer Care Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue RM ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 9Z9 or a charity of your choice. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1 at Christ the King Church, 847 St. Mary's Road, with Father Renato Pasinato presiding.
