LORNA GRACE SIGURDSON Born in Neepawa, Manitoba, Lorna passed away on March 5, 2008 at the age of 64 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Victoria Grace; her two sisters, Lorraine and Sharon; her son Jason; her nieces and nephews, Pat, Susan, Ronald, Donald, Christine, Cindy and Trevor, and many dear friends. She is predeceased by her father Magnus, who died in Lachine, Quebec in 1956. Lorna was known to friends and family for her gregarious laughter, a caring and listening ear, and a keen memory for birthdays, anniversaries, and other special days in the lives of all those close to her. A compassionate and dedicated nurse, Lorna completed her training at the Winnipeg General Hospital in 1964. She touched the lives of many through her work, at the Ninette Tuberculosis Sanatorium, and after moving to Victoria, at the Victoria General, Gorge Road Hospital, and Royal Jubilee. She will be missed by many. A celebration of Lorna's life was held in Victoria on March 22, and an interment service will take place on Saturday, April 5 at 12:30 p.m. at First Memorial Garden of Memories, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC. Donations of flowers gratefully accepted, or in lieu of flowers, a donation to a health related charity.
