VERA KATHLEEN GILLIES (nee MOLL) February 17, 1918 - March 28, 2008 Peacefully, in the loving arms of her granddaughter, Kathleen passed away the evening of March 28, 2008 at age 90. Kathleen was predeceased by her daughter Penelope, sister Toni and son David. Left to cherish her memory, children Georgina(Cliff) Young of Vancouver, Jonathon Gillies and son-in-law Don Watts. Grandchildren, Dona(Dave) Hutchings, Clay Gillies, Megan Young and great-granddaughters, Samantha and Hope. Kathleen loved children and dogs. Her puppies Coco, Carmelle and Doll gave her many years of great joy. Kathleen loved books, baking and music. And in the last few years when reading was not possible, channel 42 and all the great old movies were a comforting source of entertainment. Special thank you to the nurses and support staff at West Park Manor for their compassionate and respectful care of our dear Mom and Grandmother. A private family gathering and cremation to take place in accordance with Kathleen's plans. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Kaye's favorite charity, The Winnipeg Humane Society.
