JOSEPH DUDYCH Peacefully, on Friday, March 28, 2008, Joseph passed away at Health Sciences Centre with his family at his side. Joseph is survived by his wife of 50 years, Olga; sons, Tom (Oksana), Jim; grandchildren, Marko and Alyssa; sister Steffie (Russell); nephew Leo (Tammy), niece Natalie (Dennis); great-nephews, Roman, Matthew, Taylor, Tyler; in-law Halina Kravtchouk and her family; numerous cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Bertha; brother Stanley; in-laws Dmytro and Mary Hudz; many aunties and uncles. Joseph was born in Cloverleaf, Manitoba on May 14, 1933. The family moved to Winnipeg when Joseph was a toddler and settled in the Point Douglas area where he attended Norquay School. Joseph enjoyed singing and met his future wife in the church choir in1956. Olga Hudz and Joseph married in 1957. Joseph was employed by Manitoba Cartage for 31 years. He spent 49 years of his life singing with Bohonos Male Chorus, O. Koshetz Choir and Hoosli Male Chorus. Panahyda (Prayers) will be sung 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1 at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Sts. Vladimir and Olga, 115 McGregor St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 2 also at the Cathedral with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Mitrat M. Buyachok officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leo Luch, Dennis Shymko, Dwayne Zawatsky, Bill Szutiak, Andy Szutiak, and Dan Szutiak. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made to Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral Renovation Fund or a charity of one's choice. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Health Sciences Centre, Unit 5A for their dedication and caring, and to the many friends and relatives for their support.
