SHIRLEY DARLENE BRUBACHER June 3, 1960 - March 31, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Shirley Brubacher resulting from recent health issues. Shirley was predeceased by her mother Marianne Peters and mother-in-law Eileen Brubacher. She leaves to mourn her children, Benjamin, Rebekah, Josiah, Aaron and their father Mark Brubacher; father Henry, brothers Randy (Dawn), Eric (Janet) Peters, and their children; father-in-law Ivan, brothers-in-law Dave (Lynda), Dennis (Sheri), Marvin Brubacher and sister-in-law Darlene (Roger) Weber, and their children. Shirley was born and raised in Winnipeg. In her youth she enjoyed working with children and spent many summers working at camp. Her interest in helping those with disabilities was demonstrated through her job at a group home. This led her to doing two and one-half years of voluntary service at the Independent Living Centre in Kitchener where she met Mark. Her creativity was also expressed through her many crafts and cards which were gifted to many people. Shirley's kind and generous spirit was demonstrated by how much time she put in caring for her family. A celebration of Shirley's life will take place at Bethel Mennonite Church, 465 Stafford St., Friday, April 4, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Glen Eden. Viewing will be Thursday, April 3, 2008, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Services, 2146 Main St., and prior to the Friday service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Amant Centre.
