MURIEL MAY SHAW April 10, 1925 - March 29, 2008 Muriel left this world peacefully to be with our Lord on Saturday, March 29, 2008. She was born on April 10, 1925 in Manchester, Jamaica to Cyril and Louise Richards. She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory her loving husband Laurel A. Sharpe; her daughter, Hyacinth (Grantley) Goulbourne; her son, Herman Shaw and Ray; her granddaughters, Michelle Wesley and Melissa Goulbourne; her great-grandson, Khalil Depeazer. She also leaves to mourn her passing her siblings, Gladys, Florence, Bloosom, and Lysha; nieces and nephews, Terrance, Roma, Janice and Carl; along with many other relatives and friends in Jamaica and the United States. Muriel was predeceased by her brothers, Stanley, Gideon and Vashti. Muriel will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and for the love she shared. Muriel will never be forgotten and will live for ever in our hearts. Going Home I'm going home There's nothing to hold me here. Well I've caught a glimpse of that heavenly land praise God, I'm going home. Viewing will take place on Friday, April 4, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at St. Matthews Anglican Church, 641 St. Matthews Ave. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthews Anglican Church with Pastor G.B. Goulbourne and Pastor L. Denny presiding. A reception will follow the service and Muriel will be laid to rest in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Houston and Barb and the staff of the Health Sciences Centre for the care given Muriel.
