Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGARTH ALLAN ROBERTSON Peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2008, at the Portage and District General Hospital, Garth Robertson passed away at the age of 53 years. Garth was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and lived there until 1993 when he moved to his new home at the Manitoba Developmental Centre in Portage la Prairie. There he established close friendships with the many resident and staff. Garth had the opportunity to participate in many recreation and leisure activities and found the aquatic program to be the most exciting and challenging activity to participate in. Garth will be dearly missed by all of his friends at the Centre. Left to mourn his passing are two sisters, Diane (Ken) Mason and their sons; Randy and his stepdaughter Jocelyn McQarrie (friend Sean Beggs) and Richard (Susanne Dandenault) and their son Nash; Sharon (Lenard) Mason and their family, Tanis (Craig) Enns and their daughter Erin, and Shaen Mason (friend Felicity Forbister); and one brother John Robertson (Sharen) and their son Allan (Monika) Robertson. Garth was predeceased by his parents, Allan and Margaret (Miller) Robertson. The family is deeply grateful to the staff at the Manitoba Developmental Centre for the kind and excellent care Garth received while a resident there. God gave Garth to us because He knew that he would be loved and to teach us to be kind and patient. Funeral service conducted by Chaplain Ron Siemens will be held on Monday, April 7 at 1:00 p.m. in the Aspen Worship Centre at the Manitoba Development Centre with interment to follow in the St. Vital Cemetery. If friends so desire, contributions to the Manitoba Developmental Centre Residents Fund would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements are by: Ronald Moffit Memorial Services (204) 856-3487
