DARYL RAE SCHOTT July 8, 1948 - April 1, 2008 After a courageous battle with cancer, Rae passed away peacefully with family by his side at Stonewall District Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his three sons Neil, Kyle and Blair, his twin grandchildren Dane and Erin, father Ron, brother Wade (Carol), twin brother Lee, brother Rick, numerous nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Darlene. Rae was predeceased by his mother Ruby in October 2007. Rae was born and raised in Woodlands where he enjoyed curling, baseball, hunting and fishing. He worked for many years in the warehouse industry and spent his later years working with local contractors. In his younger years Rae was very active in the community with the recreation centre, minor baseball and the curling club. He also enjoyed time spent with his sons and friends at the local muzzle loader and junior shotgun club in Woodlands. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Stonewall District Hospital for his care. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Children's Wish Foundation which was dear to his heart. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 5 at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlands Community Hall. Rev. Colin MacIver will officiate. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
