Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY FLORENCE MOORE Mary Florence Moore passed away on March 30, 2008, at Qualicum Manor in Qualicum Beach, BC. Mary was predeceased by her parents Nancy and Jack Moore and her sister-in-law Doreen. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her brother Jack of Devonshire England, brother Don / Lorraine of Parksville, BC, nephew Brian / Virginia of Winnipeg and numerous great-nephews and nieces. Mary was born in Winnipeg April 11, 1924, and attended Linwood School in St. James. She was a competitive sports enthusiast her entire life, excelling in speed skating and softball in her younger years and golf and curling later. She was extremely knowledgeable about the past results of Stanley Cups, World Series, etc., etc. Mary spent her entire business career with the Eaton Company in Winnipeg where she advanced to the level of store management and met so many of her future close friends. She had many enjoyable holidays with her friends at her cottage at Laclu, Ontario. The family expresses sincere gratitude to the staff of Qualicum Manor and to Dr. Johann Wagenaar for the treatment and support they gave Mary in her past trying days. Mary's ashes will be sent to Winnipeg to be interred in the family plot with her parents. In lieu of flowers donations to Mary's love of animals via the Parksville SPCA or the North Island Wildlife Recovery Association Parksville would be appropriate.
