CARIDAD CORNICO April 13, 1937 - April 5, 2008 With her loving family by her side, Caridad Cornico passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at St. Boniface General Hospital and journeyed to reunite with her Creator and with her loving husband, Francisco Tan. She will be sadly missed by her memories will be cherished and lovingly remembered by, her daughter and son-in-law Teresita and Emmanuel Lao; grandsons, James Brian, Emmanuel Jr. and Jonathan Andrew; son and daughter-in-law Antonio Cesar and Ruby Ann Cornico; granddaughter Franci Antoinette; daughter and son-in-law Victoria and Luis Jr. Rojas; grandson Gerard John; daughter Olivia Cornico; son and daughter-in-law Miguel and Shirley Cornico; grandsons, Edward Kyle and Mig; son and daughter-in-law Ronaldo and Haidie Cornico; grandsons, Andrew Bryan and Lance Ronald; daughter and son-in-law Angelica and Reynaldo Opina; grandsons, Francis Rae and Patrick Ray; daughter Angelina Cornico. Caridad leaves behind her brothers, sisters, cousins, in-laws and long time friends. Caring as she was fondly called by her friends, was indeed a very caring person. Always thinking of others before her self and always willing to lend a hand to friends in need. She was always there when you need her. Her pride and joy are her children and her grandchildren and she cherished the time she was allowed by her Almighty to spend with their family and friends. A dedicated and loving mother, grandma and friend, her memories will forever stay in our hearts. Caridad's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of 8A West and to Fr. Roland for his prayers and spiritual care of St. Boniface General Hospital for all their kindness, patience and dedication towards her care and comfort. Special thanks to Dr. Rosa Rosario, to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Cancer Care Centre of the Health Centre, and to all the Home Care nurses and workers who had all took such good care of our mama all through the years with their hard work, skills, dedication, patience and loving kindness. Her viewing (Lamay) will take place on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 and Wednesday, April 9, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight. Vigil service at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Knysh Funeral Chapel now located at 1161 Fife (at the corner of Church) on Friday, April 11, 2008. Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Edward's Catholic Church at Arlington at 10:00 a.m. Reception follows in the basement. As per her wishes, cremation will take place afterward.
