Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNELSON SHERBINO March 21, 1922 - March 31, 2008 Nelson passed away peacefully in his loving wife's arms, with his children and family by his side, at Moog and Friends Hospice House. He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Jackie; daughters, Bobbie Riley (Kit), Sandra Popil (Ron); son Jim (Anita); eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, his sister Phyllis Jopling and brother Bob Sherbino (Helen), as well as many nieces and nephews. Nelson was born in Winnipeg, MB, and was employed with the C.N.R. for 28 years. In 1971 Nelson moved to Dawson Creek with his family to take up a new career with McDermot's Restaurant. Nelson belonged to The Dawson Creek Golf Club, enjoyed their many motor home trips. In 1989 they retired to Penticton. Throughout Nelson's life he gathered many friends who loved him for his wit, keen sense of humour, love and generosity. The Go Away mat was always out. Donations in Nelson's memory may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation. Interment was held at Penticton Lakeview Cemetery in Penticton, BC, followed by a Celebration of Life Reception.
