DENNIS GRANT KLIPPENSTEIN Aged 62 years of Winnipeg, formerly of Darlingford, on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Dennis was raised in the Darlingford area, and attended Darlingford School, eventually entering the work force in Winnipeg about 45 years ago. For the past 36 years he was employed by LaFarge as a redi-mix cement truck driver, retiring in April of 2007 following a slight stroke. Following successful treatment for depression at Seven Oaks, he was beginning to enjoy life in December and January, when he was involved in a very unfortunate incident at his home when he was again admitted to Seven Oaks for severe injuries from which he never recovered. Dennis is survived by two daughters, one granddaughter and three grandsons; also four brothers, one sister and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Ben and Helen Klippenstein and two brothers. Funeral service will be held from Zion-Calvin United Church, Darlingford, Manitoba on Thursday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, donations in his memory may be made to Darlingford School Heritage Museum or the Darlingford Cemetery. Interment at Darlingford Cemetery prior to the service. The family at this time wish to extend a very sincere thank you to Dr. W. Lebedin and the wonderful staff of the psychiatric ward at Seven Oaks for their care during Dennis' stay there; and also to Dr. P. Bhanot and the great and caring staff of 4th floor unit 7 and thoughtful and considerate staff of unit one of the geriatric ward on the 5th floor. The kindness of all of you will never be forgotten.
