ANNE PEERS Peacefully on May 13, 2008 at the Betel Home, Anne Peers, aged 88 years, a longtime resident of Selkirk passed away with family at her side. Anne is survived by her daughter Geraldine (Fred) Trapp, son Bob (Dolli), grandchildren Karie (Jeff) Olmstead, Jeffery (Stephanie) Trapp, Darren (Kelly) Peers, and Diane (John) Heavens; as well as great-grandchildren, Andrea, Megan, Wyatt and Chase, in addition to her sister Olga Tomyk, of Stonewall. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Bunty, in 1999, as well as her parents, daughter-in-law Joyce, sister Kay Williams and brother Norman Hudson. Anne will be remembered as a longtime employee at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre, who loved to cook, sew and garden. She also took up oil painting in her later years at her and Bunty's Dream Home north of Selkirk, along the Red River. A private graveside service will be held at St. Clements Cemetery, where Anne will be laid to rest alongside her love, Bunty. The family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude to all the staff at the Betel Home for their thoughtfulness and caring over the past five years. In lieu of flowers, we ask only that you hug your loved ones and remember those that have passed before us. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
