ROBERT LECUYER It is with great sadness that after a 4 year battle with melanoma cancer Robert Lecuyer age 49 passed away on Friday May 16, 2008. To cherish his memory he leaves to mourn his wife Billie; children, David and Gillian; parents, Henri and Claire Lecuyer; brother Richard; sisters, Suzanne Murphy (Gerry), and Colette Comte (Richard). Also, left to mourn is his mother-in-law Lillian Birt, and sisters and brothers-in-law Louise Staples, Jackie McDowell, Edie Platsko and Dave Birt (Cindy), and Gary Platsko, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was known to be an an avid golfer. He spent many countless hours at the driving range and the Falcon Lake Golf course. His dream was to be a scratch golfer. Robert loved his job and for the last 12 years was a devoted employee with Rothmans Benson Hedges. Thank you to James Spruin and all the staff for their endless support. Thank-you to Dr. Steven Latosinsky, nurse Mona and the staff at CancerCare for their kindness and compassion. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the three special women who came to Robert's rescue, the SE Whiteshell Volunteer Fire Department, the Falcon Lake EMT and the RCMP. A celebration of Robert's life will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Precieux-Sang Church, 200 Kenny St. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
