Remembering you is easy; We do it every day; It's the heartache of your absence; That never goes away; Three years have passed without you. Nothing seems the same; What we would give to see you smile, Or visit you again. We'll carry on without you; We know you'd want us to; But just to let you know dear Bruce; It's oh so hard to do. Are you watching me decorating cakes and nodding with approval? Or smiling as I'm struggling to start the lawnmower? Or watching me playing ball with Charlie? Are you sitting here beside me? Or were you that bird that flew? Are you beside your buddies of the WFD going to calls like you used to do? I feel the wind blow in my ear and I wonder if it's you. Are you reading over my shoulder? Are you holding my hand right now? I want to tell you I love you; But I'm not sure if I know just how. I can feel you wiping my teardrops; And asking me please not to cry; I sure miss you Bruce and loving you so much; And I'm wondering why you had to die.
