EDWARD (EDDIE) KUCHARSKI Peacefully after a brief illness, Edward Kucharski, beloved husband of Pauline, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at the age of 80 years. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by daughter Denise (Jim) Cox and granddaughters Jennifer and Caitlin. He is survived by two brothers, Alex of Las Vegas and Henry of Winnipeg. Eddie was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Julia; brothers, Joe, Louie, Paul and Tony and sisters, Agnes, Dolly and Anne. Eddie was born and raised in Winnipeg. He married Pauline in 1951 and they recently celebrated 57 years of marriage. Eddie worked at a variety of jobs including Carlings and O'Keefe Breweries, Royal Dairies and eventually retiring from the Winnipeg School Division No. 1 in 1992. Eddie's family was precious to him and he enjoyed getting together on special occasions and family dinners. He was a bit of a card shark and enjoyed playing a game of crib with his family and friends. An avid sports fan he would keep up with the current games - be it hockey, baseball, football or curling. He enjoyed his daily walks to meet his friends for a couple of hours each day. Eddie never took life too seriously and would usually make light of and jokes of most situations. At Eddie's request there will be no formal service, a Graveside Service will be held on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Prayer.
