JOYCE ELIZABETH KLAPECKI (nee SCHENK) Peacefully, in the early morning of July 6, 2008, Joyce passed away at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 77 years. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children, Don (Liana), Lori (Chris), and Janis (Dennis), brother Milton, close friends and family. Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Wally. Mom was a fun-loving and generous person who always made sure the needs of her family came before anything else. She inspired us to have an appreciation for the simple things in life. Mom enjoyed spending time with her family and summers out at the cottage. We will always cherish our memories of these days and the enthusiasm she encouraged in us to explore and appreciate nature. She loved her family and was very proud of her children. In later years, Mom enjoyed the comfort of her home and the company of family and close friends, especially Alicia. Mom had a true fondness for all animals, especially the many pets owned over the years. She would help any animal she saw in need including the stray cats that visited her daily for kibble. We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the kind care she received from staff at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit, and at Riverview Health Centre. Cremation has taken place. As per Joyce's wishes, a graveside remembrance will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 6:00 p.m., Holy Ghost Cemetery.
