CORPORAL JAMES (JIM) HAYWARD ARNAL April 9, 1983 July 18, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James on Friday, July 18, 2008 in Afghanistan at the age of 25 years. James will be lovingly remembered by his mother Wendy Hayward Miskiewicz, stepfather Ken Miskiewicz, brother Andrew Arnal and his girlfriend Heather Fortin, father Raymond Arnal, stepmother Betty Arnal, stepsister Sarah Clark, grandparents Jim and Mona Hayward, and his girlfriend Melissa Mulaire. He also leaves to mourn his aunts and uncles: Janet Hayward, Donna and Cory Kadash, Kim and Rick LaFleur, Russ and Denise Joyce, Bob and Diane Arnal, as well as numerous cousins and very close friends. James served in the Canadian Armed Forces with the Second Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI). He was a hero who loved life and lived it to the fullest with adventure and inspired others to do the same. He was a man of integrity, bravery and had character of strength and fortitude. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Grant Memorial Baptist Church, 877 Wilkes Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James' memory to the War Amps, 1 Maybrook Drive, Scarborough, ON M1V 5K9 or the Halo Trust (Anti-Mine Charity Group), PO Box 7905, Thornhill, DG3 5AY, United Kingdom.
