On August 3, 2008 Sister Dolores Lussier passed away into the arms of her beloved Father and Creator, after a long and courageous struggle with cancer. Dolores was born to Alcide Lussier and Léonide Maurice in Mariapolis, Manitoba on March 28, 1923. She completed her high school at St. Marie Convent in Bruxelles with the Ursuline Sisters then taught for a short while. She got to know the Grey Nuns through her aunt and a cousin who were members of the Congregation. After a period of prayer and discernment, she entered the Grey Nuns in St. Boniface where she spent 66 years of whole-hearted dedication and exemplary self-giving to her Lord. Woman of faith and prayer, woman of generosity and of many talents, Sister Dolores was always available to render a service with joy and earnest. Sister Dolores died at Taché Centre on Sunday, August 3, 2008. She leaves to mourn her passing her religious family, The Grey Nuns; her brother Maurice and spouse Florence; three nephews, Claude and Thérèse Lussier, Marc and Eileen Lussier, Eric and friend Chris; one niece Jocelyne and Gordon Morison, uncle Marcel Maurice, aunt Simonne and many friends. Prayers will be held at Despins Residence, 151 Despins Street on Sunday, August 10 at 7:00 p.m. with funeral mass celebrated the following day, same place at 1:00 p.m. DESJARDINS 233-4949 1-888-233-4949
