Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRITZ PFEIFER On Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital Fritz Pfeifer, beloved brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully from complications of heart and lung disease. Remaining to forever cherish Fritz's memory are his sister, her husband and a stepsister in the United States as well as a brother and his family in Germany. He will be missed by his family and his many friends in Winnipeg. Born on September 17, 1929 in Hartfeld, Galicia, he settled after the war near Hamburg, Germany. Fritz completed a three-year apprenticeship as an upholsterer before immigrating to Canada. He spent his working years as an upholsterer in Winnipeg. He was active in German-Canadian Societies where he was especially known for his creative costumes during the Carnival season. Fritz lived for many years in his house on Pritchard Avenue before he moved into the Polish-American Home on Selkirk Avenue. Fritz's funeral service will be held on Thursday evening, August 7 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue.
