MARJORIE ELIZABETH SCOTT (nee GREENAWAY, MAHOOD) 1931 2008 Suddenly, on Saturday, August 2, 2008, Marj passed away at the Concordia Hospital with her husband and family by her side. Marj was predeceased by her first husband Robert Greenaway; parents, Andy and Edith Mahood and her brother Gord. She is survived by her husband Mark; sons, Richard (Sherrill) Greenaway, Glen Greenaway and Jeff Greenaway; grandsons, Robert Greenaway (Yania Carrillo), Ryan Greenaway (Mandy), Chris Fougere (Sheena), Justin Fougere, Chris Rochon and Jody Scott; granddaughters, Echo Asher (Brian), Lindsay, Janine, Allison and Megan; step children, Doug (Barb) and Trina; great-grandchildren, Jayda and Fisher Greenaway and Sydney Fougere. Marj will be sadly missed by all. Marj worked for over 30 years in purchasing for the Transcona Springfield School Division. Through her work she became active in her Canadian Union of Public employees local, becoming President for the last few years of her career. She was also active in the Transcona Memorial United Church, serving on the food bank committee. Viewing will be held on Wednesday August 6 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 211 Regent Avenue West. Funeral services will be held at the Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Avenue West on Thursday, August 7 at 11:00 a.m. The family would like to sincerely thank the nursing staff of the Concordia Hospital emergency department for their kindness and compassion shown to Mark and Marj.
