ROSE RUDKO It is with sorrow that we, the family of Rose Rudko, announce her peaceful passing at Seven Oaks Hospital on the morning of Thursday, September 4, 2008, at the age of 83 years. Aunt Rose was predeceased by her husband Paul in November 2006; her parents Marion and Anastasia Schempek; and her sisters, Mary, Nellie, Sophie and Helen. She leaves to mourn her loss, her sister Anne Hoerbelt, several nephews, nieces and cousins, as well as great-nephews and great-nieces on both sides of the family, who loved her dearly. Aunt Rose and Uncle Paul owned and operated Rudrose Construction for several years, building homes in Tuxedo and River Heights, as well as shopping centres throughout the city. They enjoyed trips to Hawaii and other U.S. locations, as well as Mexico and the Orient during their earlier years. Aunt Rose was devastated by the death of Uncle Paul just a few weeks after celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. She had devoted 19 years of caring for him at Riverview Health Centre prior to his death; this caring nature was demonstrated, time and again, by her donations to various charities and organizations for whom she hoped she could help make a difference , with sick children being her primary concern. We will all miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice in memory of Aunt Rose. In respect of her wishes, a private service was held. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
