PHYLLIS ELLEN JOPLING It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Phyllis Jopling on September 13, 2008 at the age of 80. Phyllis was predeceased by her loving husband C. Bruce Jopling; her beloved daughter Roberta Munaster; brothers, Chuck and Nelson Sherbino; sisters, Ethel Gustafson, Betty Kaplan and Vera Dickson. She is survived by her loving son Richard Jopling; grandchildren, whom she adored, Jeffrey Monaster (Carla) and Jennifer Monaster. Also by her son-in-law Douglas Monaster; brother Bob Sherbino and sister-in-law Jackie Sherbino and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was a Fort Rouge girl attending Earl Grey and Kelvin schools. She worked at Eaton's candy department downtown and ladies fashions at Polo Park where she had many friends. Mom and Dad had a cabin at Grand Beach and later at Dorothy Lake where she loved fishing and swimming and playing cards. They moved to Lac du Bonnet where she loved to curl and play bingo and pokeno at the Pioneer Club and the Lac du Bonnet Legion. But mostly it was the people that she loved being with. Mom always spoke her mind, but remained a gracious lady to the end. Thank you to the staff of the Pinawa Hospital and particularly Dr. Vangend for your care and kindness. It won't soon be forgotten. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at the Legion Hall in Lac du Bonnet.
