WILLIAM PALMER With his family by his side, William Palmer passed away peacefully on September 14, 2008 at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 88 years. He is survived by his wife Lucilda, daughter Wanita, grandson Makhai Palmer, three sisters Mabel Palmer, Veta Palmer and Maude Palmer, and other family, adopted children Darrian, Laurian, Shelly and Denise. William immigrated to Canada in 1973 from Jamaica. He worked in Winnipeg, at Viscount and Versatile New Holland Ford. Viewing will be on Friday, September 26, 2008 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, with viewing one half hour prior to service. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, Riverview Health Centre Foundation or St. Boniface Hospital and Research Foundation. The family wishes to thank the staff of the St. Boniface Hospital, River View Health Centre, Health Sciences Centre Emergency, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services and staff of Home Care for their care and compassion shown to dad.
