NORMAN BEQUE The family of Norman Beque sadly announces his passing on Monday, September 29, 2008 at the age of 78 years, following a courageous battle with cancer. Norman leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his memory his loving wife of over 55 years, Ollie; his children Debra (Ron), Marla (Art) and Jeff (Arlene); his grandchildren, Joshua, Ciara and Christoper. His is also survived by his sisters, Rosemary (Rudi) and Beverly (Wally) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Jessie; his brothers, David, Raymond, Vernon, John and Robert. Norm was born on May 16, 1930 and grew up in Winnipeg. He began working at age 16 as a stockboy with Gault's Ltd. He later moved to Sales, ending his career working with Lowry Distributors and over the years he formed many lasting friendships. Dad's greatest joy was found in the outdoors and he loved fishing and hunting. Dad also loved to curl and he enjoyed many years at the Thistle Curling Club. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Green Acres Cemetery with a reception to follow. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
