DOREEN FENSKE 1933 - 2008 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Doreen at the Concordia Hospital on October 13, 2008 with her family at her side after a long and courageous battle with MS. Doreen leaves to cherish her wonderful memory her loving husband of 54 years Bill; sons Rick (Donna), John (Jackie); grandchildren Nicholas and Sarah; brother Douglas (Betty). She was predeceased by her father and mother John and Katherine Mitzok; sisters Eileen, Barbra, Joyce; brother Arthur. Doreen was born and raised in East Selkirk MB and moved to Wpg. in her late teens where she met and married Bill. Her two main projects in her life were her two babies who she loved and nourished to grow up to two fine young gentlemen. Her face always lit up whenever she saw them or heard their voices. She loved her house, her things , all of which showed her special touch. She enjoyed family gatherings and a couple of games of cards. ( especially Frustration ). Doreen had a great sense of humor with a sneaky quick wit. She had a very infectious smile that greeted everyone. In all her years of dependency, she very seldom complained about her illness. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of the Winnipeg Homecare for their care and compassion over the years and also to the staff of the 3rd floor at Concordia Hospital for their kind care. In compliance with Doreen's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Rather, the family would like those who wish, to take a moment at your leisure to remember healthier and happier times. A private inurnment has taken place. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Doreen's memory to the M.S. Society of Canada or a charity of choice.
