MARK ROMEO GAUTHIER July 12, 1935 - October 25, 2008 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Dad and Grampa, Mark Romeo Gauthier on Saturday, October 25, 2008 in Winnipeg, MB. Remaining to forever cherish Mark's memory are his daughter Rosemarie; son in-law Dean, and his pride and joy new granddaughter Chloe. Sister Donna (Bob) Murie; brother Ed (Annette) Gauthier; sister Gail (Archie) Merkley; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, including close family friend Suzanne. He was predeceased by mother Edwardean Stadey; dad Leo Gauthier; brother Robert; sister Bertha and; three nieces. Mark lived a full life, he knew how to work hard and he knew how to play hard. He spent most of his working years as a Heavy Equipment Operator working anywhere from Northern ON to Northern BC. Mark was an avid fisherman in his younger years and loved that his daughter also still embraces this hobby as he took her on many fly in fishing trips. He loved his trips to his coffee shops in Kenora, Vet's and Winnipeg, Jolly Mug where he told and shared many stories with friends. A celebration of Mark's life will be held on Saturday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. in the Knox United Church, 116 5th Ave S. (corner of 2nd and 5th), Kenora, Ontario. The family would like to thank the nurses of Victoria General Hospital 4th floor and ICU especially Linda at ICU for her care and compassion. We would like to thank the caregivers from the MB homecare program and his family doctor DR. S. Eng. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mark's memory to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation, 2340 Pembina Highway Winnipeg, MB R3T 2E8. You will be deeply missed my dad, my papa, my friend. The depths of sorrow we cannot tell Of the loss of one we loved so well And while he sleeps a peaceful sleep, His memory we shall keep.
