DOMENICO MASSARONI Peacefully, in his sleep, at West Park Manor Personal Care Home, on Sunday, November 2, 2008 Domenic passed away at the age of 84 years. Remaining to forever cherish Domenic's memory are his three sons, Carlo, Daniel (Kimberley), and David; grandchildren Kristina, Colin and Holly, Christian and Nathalie; brother Angelo and family, all of Winnipeg; as well as numerous extended family members in Winnipeg, Italy and the U.S. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings in Italy. Domenic was born February 5, 1924 in Strangolagalli, Frosinone, Italy. As a young man, he went to work in Belgium for several years before making his way to Winnipeg in 1954. He was employed with CP Rail for over 25 years. Throughout his life, Domenic enjoyed gardening, watching sports, making wine and taking care of the family cats. In later years, he took great pleasure as Nonno to his grandchildren. In compliance with Domenic's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Family and Friends are invited to gather and share memories on Thursday, November 6 in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful people at West Park Manor Personal Care Home for their exceptional care and attention to our Dad.
