Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR MACKAY It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Arthur MacKay at the Pine Falls Hospital on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Art is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Isabel, his son Rick (Tuulikki), Debbie (Pat), Jeff (Claudia), his grandchildren Marika (Marc), Matthew, Anna and Tommy, his great-granddaughter Teija, and his sister-in-law Elsie Green, as well as his extended family and friends. Art was born in Winnipeg on May 20, 1927. He was a good and kind man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He spent over 25 years as a Cub Scouts leader in Elmwood, and was member of the same bowling team for 30 years. He was an avid stamp collector and in his later years he enjoyed woodcarving. Art was a loyal worker who spent 40 years at D.W. Court Co. until his retirement at Hillside Beach in 1990. There he made many wonderful friends and was a working member at the Senior Scene Club in Victoria Beach. Special thanks to the caring staff at the Sunny Wood Manor where he spent the last three years, Thank you to the Pine Falls Hospital staff for their care and support. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8 at St. Michaels Church on Pine Road, Victoria Beach with Pastor Alex Cross presiding. Following the service, the family wishes to invite everyone to join them for a reception and celebration of Arts life at the Sport's Club on David Road, Victoria Beach.
