PETER MISTAFA Peacefully, on November 26, 2008, at Betel Home, Selkirk, Peter Mistafa, aged 94 years passed away. Peter is survived by his two daughters, Barb (Bill) and Kathy (Tony), his four granddaughters, Amy, Arla, Melissa, and Kelsey, several nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and acquaintances. Peter was predeceased by his wife Anne in 1991, his brothers, Bill and Nick, and sister Margaret. Peter was born in Saskatchewan and grew up during the hard times of the era. This taught him to be frugal, stubborn and determined. He eventually acquired a small farmstead near Warren, MB and after clearing the land and making himself a home, he continued to successfully farm his land until well into his 70's.He remained in his own home until the age of 92. Peter adored his four granddaughters, he loved being outdoors, collecting antiques and playing his fiddle on Saturday nights. Funeral Service to be held at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall on Saturday, November 29 at 1:00 p.m. Lunch to follow. Interment to be held at Warren Cemetery. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
