VIVIAN PARRIS (nee HOLMES) Peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2008, our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away. Vivian was born on February 3, 1929 in Fredericton. She was predeceased by her husband James and daughter Janet. She is survived by sister Ruby, daughter Dorothy (Alan), son James (Diane), grandchildren Keiley (Blair), Douglas, Nigel, Nolan, CJ, Keelan, Ashlen, and Damon. Great-grandchildren Sierra, Graham and Felicia. Vivian was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother who loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She was a quiet, gentle soul who never had a bad word to say about anyone. We will miss her special donuts and pie at Christmas. We would like to thank all the wonderful nurses at Health Sciences Centre adult emergency and observation for providing amazing care for her and all of us during our stay. Funeral service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 3:00 p.m., with viewing beginning at 2:30 p.m. Remembrances may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON 1160 - 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Know that our beloved family member, sister-in-law Viv is gone home to glory. However, we grieve for ourselves and feel sad that we were not able to share the last minutes of her earthly presence. Viv - you were always welcoming when we came to your home, called your home and "back in the day" when you visited the Nova Scotian homes. I know you are happy to be with your dear husband and our dear brother Jim. Dear family feel our sorrow as we are so sad that we cannot be with you.
