Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORG HAUSNER Georg Hausner, of Winnipeg, previously of Lowe Farm, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at the Morris General Hospital at the age of 87 years. A memorial service will be held at the Morris Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 18 at 10:00 a.m. He leaves to mourn his wife of 50 years, Maria; daughter Christa; son Georg; and grandchildren, Stefan and Andreas. Georg was born on April 13, 1921 in Parkstein, Germany (Bavaria). Georg grew up on a small farm and got caught up in the madness of the Second World War. After the war he eventually got married and he and his wife farmed in Germany until the late 1960s. A short semi-retirement was followed by moving to Canada in 1978, and settling in Manitoba to keep farming near Lowe Farm. Georg loved the land and after retiring from farming kept living on the farm yard until last year when health reasons forced him to move to Winnipeg. It was due to the help and kind support of neighbours and friends that Georg could live on his beloved farm as long as he could. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the dedicated staff at the Morris General Hospital for their care.
