Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BRENT) LANYON Peacefully, on Sunday, December 21, 2008, Brent, beloved husband of Catherine, passed away, at the age of 61 years. Remaining to forever cherish Brent's memory are his wife Catherine of 39 years; son Dan (Barbara); grandson Lukas; sisters, Renee and Sheree; several brothers and sisters-in-law; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Sam and June Lanyon. Brent was born in Winnipeg, March 5, 1947. He was employed with the CN Police for 33 years until his early retirement in 2002. Brent had been involved with the Winnipeg Chapter of the Kidney Foundation for many years. He enjoyed his summers at the cottage in Sioux Lookout, Ontario and winter vacations in Mexico. A celebration of Brent's life will be held on Monday, December 29 at 2:00 p.m. in the Portage Avenue Church, 1420 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brent's memory to the Lung Association or the Kidney Foundation.

Miss you Dad. Can't believe you've been gone four years. You have two Grand sons and a grand daughter now. You would be proud. Your Granddaughter would definitely stolen your heart as she has mine. I can only imagine the trouble you and your grandsons would dream up. I wish you could have stayed here longer. I pray that you are at peace.
