LINDA GREWINSKI Mrs. Linda Louise Grewinski (nee Covell), aged 61 years, of Lac du Bonnet, MB, dearly beloved wife of Edward, peacefully and with family by her side, passed away on December 27, 2008 at the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home. Linda was born in Fort Frances, ON on May 8, 1947. Growing up she lived in both Fort Frances and Ear Falls, ON where she met her husband Edward Grewinski. They married in 1974 and settled down to farm in Riverland near Lac du Bonnet, MB. Linda will always be remembered for her strong work ethic, her love of family and friends and her great sense of humor. The farm was a place where everyone was always welcome and no matter when or how many guests dropped in Linda always had plenty of homemade preserves, baking or her famous homemade soup for her company. Mom was an avid gardener and spent countless hours tending to her huge vegetable garden and many flower beds during the summer months. In the winter months she stayed busy as a member of the Order of The Eastern Star and her various crafts, parties and projects. Linda will be deeply missed by her loving husband Edward; son Evan (Kayla); daughters, Tracy (Alan), Noel (Bert), Sandy (Anton) and Kara; grandsons, Braden, Calan, Niklas, Stefan and Colin; brothers, Bruce Covell (Paulette), Bill Covell, Joseph Covell; sisters, Candace Herbert (Larry) and Nancy Covell; also nieces, Martene and Shannon and nephew Nathan. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Stan and Julie Covell. Linda's family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Richard Van Gend and the staff at the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home for the wonderful care Mom received during her eight years there. There are no words to express our appreciation for your compassion and caring. Cremation has taken place with interment and memorial to follow in May 2009 at Riverland Cemetery in Lac du Bonnet, MB. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in Linda's memory may be made to the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
