LESLEY GEORGINA GARRAWAY Peacefully on Monday, December 29, 2008 at the age of 82 years Lesley passed away to join her beloved Ronnie. Remaining to forever cherish Lesley's memory are sons Terry (Teena), Russell (Cheryl); grandchildren Kerrie, Kristen, Blair and Ian; brother Terry (Sheila); nephew Tim and niece Stella; great-nieces Claire and Jane; and great-nephew Anthony as well as her family in England. She was predeceased by her husband Ron and sister Noreen. Lesley was born and raised in Sheffield, England, where she met Ron when he was stationed with the R.C.A.F during the War. She came to Canada with many other War brides in 1946 where she formed a lifelong friendship with Nancy who was also settling in Winnipeg. Lesley spent many years in the cosmetics industry, first with Sears and then managing the fragrance and cosmetics department in Eaton's Place downtown. She loved to travel, and there were many trips to England and Hawaii, but most of all she enjoyed her summers at the cottage with her family at Gull Lake. The family would like to thank Golden West Centennial Lodge for their excellent care and compassion. In keeping with Lesley's wishes no formal memorial service will take place.
