JOHN KITCHUR 1926 2009 On January 9, 2009 at Seven Oaks Hospital with his sons at his bedside, John peacefully passed away. John is survived by his loving wife Agnes and sons Randy, Wayne and Greg (Arlene), daughter Valerie, and grandchildren Matthew and Sydnee. John is also survived by his sister-in-law Helen and numerous nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Mary; sisters Julia and Pauline; brothers Bill, Stanley, Roman and Joe. John was born November 14, 1926 in St. Martin, Manitoba and worked at various jobs before retiring from the Winnipeg School Division in 1992 after 25 years of service. John especially loved being with family and friends in St. Martin as well as spending time at the cottage at Lundar Beach. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to his homecare workers and primary physician Dr. D. Miller and Linda, and especially Cheryl and the nurses of Unit 5 Geriatrics at Seven Oaks, as well as neighbours and friends. Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with viewing one-hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. 586-8044
