ANTHONY (TONY) GEORGE KUYSTEN November 12, 1919 to January 26, 2009 It is with sadness we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather at the Betel Home in Selkirk. Dad was predeceased by his sister Nellie. He is survived by his son Brian (Marty); daughters Donna-Mae (Jim) Eden, Lucille (Erin) Kennedy, and Anna-Marie (Ed) Prince; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with his sisters Flora and Marie and a number of nieces and nephews. Dad worked in his younger years at the Selkirk Rolling Mills, on the S. S. Kenora, and in Churchill, Manitoba where he cooked for 400 children, and on the oil rigs in Alberta until his retirement at the age of 58. During his retirement he spent time making hook rugs which he would give to family and friends. Whenever there was an opportunity he also loved to garden. The family wishes their sincere gratitude to the nursing staff on wing 5 6 at Betel Home in Selkirk for their care over the past year. Cremation has taken place. As per Dad's wishes there will be no formal funeral. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Marine Museum of Manitoba, 490 Eveline St., Selkirk, Manitoba. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
