BARBARA EILEEN FERNIE (nee SHEPHERD) June 27, 1928 - February 12, 2009 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mom and grandma, Eileen Fernie, on Thursday, February 12, 2009. Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Robert, sister Isabella Pownall and her parents. She leaves to mourn five children, Lynn husband Terry, Sharon husband Sam, Alison husband Ian, Susan husband Wayne and Robert; nine grandchildren, Andrea husband James, Steven, Jesse, Sean, Lauren, Erin, Darren, Braden and Emma; her brother, Jim Shepherd, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. The family would like to thank the staff at CancerCare Manitoba, WRHA Palliative Care and St. Boniface General Hospital, Palliative Care Unit for their caring and support.
