Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIAN PARSONS Ian Robert Parsons, aged 39, of Winnipeg passed away tragically on Saturday, February 21, 2009. He was born to Doreen Parsons, September 12, 1969 in Peterborough, Ontario. Ian married Kristin Whitehead in 1993 and together raised three wonderful children, Stephanie, Matthew and Kurtis. Ian is also survived by his sisters Elaine (Wayne) McNaughton and Andrea Szebeledy and his nieces and nephews. Ian's extended family included sister and brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, grandparents and numerous friends. Ian loved his job with Manitoba Justice. He was also an enthusiastic coach and an active member of the Charleswood Broncos and the Oak Park Raiders Football clubs. Ian was a passionate Steelers' fan and especially enjoyed watching them win the Super Bowl. Cherished memories were made spending time with his family at Caddy Lake or in their backyard swimming and having bon fires. The family would like to thank the numerous friends, family and community members who have supported Kristin and the children. A memorial service will be held at the Charleswood United Church, 4520 Roblin Blvd at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2009. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made on behalf of the Parsons Family at any Assiniboine Credit Union.
