Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLA GWENDOLYN MOGK It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Willa Gwendolyn Mogk in the early morning of February 25, 2009. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her children, Bob (Marg), Sandra Bilodeau and Marcia McKay. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by two sisters, Wynne Clarke and Dorothy North and one sister-in-law Shirley Bunce. Willa was born November 14, 1919 in Carman to William C. and Persis Hartley, the youngest daughter of seven children. She grew up in Minnedosa where her father was the school inspector until his sudden death in 1936. On September 11, 1943 she married Ralph Mogk and settled on the family farm in Sperling where they raised three children. During those years she was active in the United Church Choir and the Sperling Legion. In 1968 they retired to Carman where she kept busy with golf and bridge. She had a keen sense of humor, a zest for life and a deep abiding love for her family. Funeral Service will be held from the Carman United Church in Carman on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Catherine Waldie officiating. The family would like to thank the staff at Boyne Lodge and Carman Memorial Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Boyne Lodge, Box 1644, Carman, MB. R0G 0J0.
