VIOLET MAXINE ROUBLE LAZARENKO Dear Violet, It's been 5 long and lonely years; it's not the same without you. If only we had known that February 29, 2004 would have been the last time we would see you, we would have hugged and kissed you and never let you go. Violet, you were an innovative, tenacious, gutsy person, full of chutzpah and boy did you stick up for yourself and your family. You had high moral beliefs, which sometimes caused you a lot of adversity and controversy. Mom misses you dearly, her heart is forever broken and lonely for you, we can never thank you enough for taking such good care of her; you were the best . There are many things we miss about you; lemon and chocolate cheesecakes, paska, perishke and holopchi, your presence, laughter, beautiful smile, phone calls, cards, your caring ways and especially your love and concern for all of us. I will always have memories of trips we took together; Acapulco, Miami, St. Petersburg, and Banff, to name a few, recounting us shopping in Fargo, makes me laugh. I especially miss our walks in Bird's Hill Park and then our lunches and long talks and of course you saying, I'll treat you Gloryia . On a somber note, you showed you were a survivor when you were beaten, abandoned and almost died at an earlier time in your life. You had a strong passion to write stories and poetry, which gave you an opportunity to express yourself and hopefully inspire others. May you have the wings of an eagle, so you can fly and be at peace forever I look to the skies at night and say goodnight to my special sister Violet; best friend and confidant. You were my only sister and I am lost without you. Though some may say you are in a better place, to be together in the same old way, is what we wish for each and every day. You're carried in our hearts forever. - Love always, Mama, sister Gloryia, brother-in-law Dennis, nephew and godson Shawn, Colleen, Kyia and best friend B.F. in Edmonton XOXOXO God Bless Vichnaya Pamyat P.S. You had many sayings, two of your favourites were; Walk a mile in someone else's shoes and then judge them! There is a God and only God knows my life experiences and who I am!
