CHAREN LAWRENCE-WHITE April 15, 1936 March 4, 2009 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of our loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Seven Oaks Hospital at 72 years. Charen will be lovingly remember by her husband of 51 years, Beresford (Bert); her daughter Jennifer of Brandon; three sons, Neville (Lynne) of Winnipeg, Paul of Calgary and Clinton (Marcia) of Ottawa; grandchildren, Treyson and Nicholas along with her many nieces and nephews. Also included is her family in Canada and overseas including Tony, Bertha and Polly. Charen was born in Jamaica and moved to England as an early age. In 1968 Charen, Bert and family immigrated to Canada and called Winnipeg their home. While raising her family, Charen pursued a real estate and nursing career. Mom was a voracious reader and a keen follower of current events. Mom was a guiding light to her children and a source of love, wisdom and experience. Charen developed many deep friendships that have become richer over the years. Her grandchildren (present and future) were a special joy and she loved to celebrate their minor and major achievements, A special thanks to Aunt Lena, and to the staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital for their support to Charen right to the end. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charen's memory to your favourite charity. 586-8044

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Fitz & Claudette, as being trying to find Bert & Inez for years, we were with them when they were packing to go to Canada from England, cannot believe they are no longer with us. We are now living in Florida. They were instrumental getting both of us together, we will never forget them. God Rest their souls. - Posted by: Fitz & claudette (Friends from England) on: Aug 21, 2015
