HENRY MICHAEL SLUSARCZYK (ELVIS) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Henry on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the St. Boniface Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Henry was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Victoria, sisters Millie (Borden), Joan (Russell), son Michael and his dog Buddy. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 34 years, Darlene; brother Teddy; sisters Tessie (Johnny) and Josie (Eddy); daughters, Laurie, Richelle (Steve) and Tanya (Brad); grandchildren, Jesse, Alexandria, Catherine, Seth and Katie; special niece Brittney, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Henry grew up in Vassar, MB and moved to Winnipeg when he was 16. Henry was a very hard worker and began his working career when he was 15 with Canada Packers. He then moved on to work for Allied Farm Equipment for 25 years. The last 27 years he worked for New Flyer Industries. Henry loved music, especially Elvis and country and western. Hunting with brothers-in-law Eddy and Johnny, nephew Todd and goose hunting with Borden. Family was very important to Henry, he cherished playing with his grandchildren and the summer camping in Selkirk Park. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, with interment to follow.
